You’d probably never guess where Ian and Catie first met.

They both had gone on ski trips with separate groups of friends. Catie decided to try snowboarding, and soon after getting off the lift at the top realized it wasn’t for her. After all of her friends took off down the slope, Catie was left. She waited and waited for a friend to come help her off the mountain, but they all decided it was time for lunch.

Until Ian showed up and literally rescued her. Ha! Does it get any better than that?

They would become friends that weekend, staying in touch and eventually started dating long distance while Ian served with the marines overseas, while Catie lived in Tennessee.

These two celebrated their wedding in Key West, one of my favorite destinations in South Florida. There’s nothing quite like this gorgeous chain of islands that make up the Keys, where life just seems to go at a slower pace. The tropical, bohemian vibes totally fit their venue at Key West Harbour Inn.

It was such a treat for me to be back in South Florida, to meet Catie and Ian, and to capture the love these two share. Congrats you two!
