Johnny and Hannah met while doing ministry together at their church, Gracepoint. Johnny’s first impression of Hannah was how funny she was. At a Zoom event they were both on with their friends, she was playing a Russian mom in a Halloween Murder Mystery.
Hannah knew Johnny might be interested in her when he messaged her through their Slack for church (apparently “slacking” someone is a thing? I feel old, ha). Turns out she was right! Although Johnny is quiet and Hannah is super outgoing, they really do make the perfect pair.
We had so much fun on their wedding day! Johnny got ready at a community house (aka Christian frat house, in his words!) he attended while at Berkeley. Hannah got ready at a friends house, and then we met on Berkeley’s campus for their first look. These two have such an ease to laughter and were just beaming.
Their ceremony and reception took place at Fairview Metropolitan in Alameda. I loved how focus it was on Jesus, and the way their pastor shared that it is HIS love that will keep your marriage and love for each other strong and empower you to continue to love when you don’t feel it yourself some seasons of life.
The reception was full of heartfelt words, videos, and hilarious performances by friends and family. I had a smile on my face the whole time!
I’m so grateful to get to know these two, and see a snapshot at the beautiful ways they are living their lives for the Kingdom – now not just as individuals but as a couple.
Congrats Hannah and Johnny!
