Gretchen and Stephen became friends in college. Stephen had made it his ambition to study abroad from his home in Taiwan, and fate would lead him to more than just an education here in the States. It was during his time at UCLA where he met Gretchen while were both design majors.
I love how well their ceremony captures their story together – from their fun road trips together up and down the west coast, to the tender and significant moments during Gretchen’s knee surgery recovery that solidified how much they care for each other.
I could not get enough of Stephen’s reaction during the ceremony. There is nothing so sweet as a groom getting choked up thinking about his bride. Gah, so sweet!
After their beautiful garden ceremony at Malibou Lodge, they had a jazz band performing during cocktail hour that was *so rad*, followed by lion dancers during the opening of their reception. You’ll just have to watch the video to see how epic it was for yourself.
I’m so grateful I was able to capture this beautiful day for them. Congrats Stephen and Gretchen!
