Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
and see that they get justice.
Proverbs 31: 8-9
I was in tenth grade when the first time I visited Africa. For six weeks, I was blown away the beautiful landscapes, the heartbreaking need, coupled with the joyful and hopeful Africans I met.
I had experienced a new world I'd never be able to unsee, and my life would never be the same.
As I continued traveling internationally as a young adult, I kept encountering incredible stories from the people I met around the world. I'll never forget my friend Lewis and the conversation I had outside his hut in a village in Zambia. I asked him what I could do to serve the world, to change it. He told me to look at what God had put in my hands.
Figuratively and literally, that's always been video.
Videos have this incredible ability to transport us into another time and place; to make you feel something.
I thought if others could see and feel what I was feeling, they would also be inspired to live bigger than themselves. To give and serve more.
I've got one life to give, and I want it to make the world a better place. Through the power of sharing the stories of people who need to be heard, my aim is to call others to action on their behalf.
That's me, and that's my goal. To tell stories that matter by giving voices to the voiceless.
I'd love to chat and hear what story you know that needs to be told, heard, and celebrated!
